What is ServerStat?

ServerStat Lite is a program written for Macintosh based internet server administrators.  This is the shareware version but there was a commercial version also available for sale.  ServerStat Lite works with the following web servers:

1) WebStar / StarNine Technologies
2) MacHTTP / BIAP Systems (shareware)
3) GopherSurfer / University of Minnesota

Many people on the Internet were full of ideas about what a new evolution of WebStat might include.  Among them were a user interface for setting the parameters, being able to filter in or out certain files from processing, being able to include or exclude IP addresses or domain names from processing, determine what dates should be processed, and support for WebStar.  While not every single possible capability of the program can be set with popup menus, check boxes, or radio buttons, most can. There are a few commands that are only available in the Configuration Window.  These require good old fashioned typing.  Luckily the folks at Apple designed the Macintosh to include a keyboard for just such occasions.
