What is ZipIt?

There are those of us who have to share files on a regular basis with other computer platforms that use the Zip compression method. Although the Stufflt Expander/DropStuff with Expander Enhancer will decompress Zipped files, these programs will not create Zip archives. That’s where ZipIt comes in awfully handy. ZipIt creates Zip archives that you can then send to folks using Zip compression on PCs or Unix systems. ZipIt also allows you to encrypt your Zip archives and to segment archives (great for getting large files onto multiple floppy disks). ZipIt even is AppleScriptable.
