What is MacFCEU?

MacFCEU is a Nintendo (NES/Famicom) emulator for PPC versions of Mac OS and was initially based on FCE Ultra 0.98.13.  Advanced well beyond FCEU, MacFCEU has the goal of being one of the more accurate emulators out there but fast enough to run on old Macs.  MacFCEU has lots of customizable settings such as sound quality from 8khz up to 96khz, channels (such as triangle waves, square waves, etc...) on/off, game genie codes input, memory hex view, palette colors customization, etc...

Compatibility notes

Architecture: 68K (68020 or newer) + PPC (FAT)

At least 4MB of free RAM (recommended 7MB)

Mac OS 7.1 - Mac OS 9.2.2

Note: Altough 68K CPU's are supported, none of them is fast enough to really play any games at a decent speed.  A 266mhz or faster PPC CPU is recommended to play games smoothly.
