What is Cavern Quest?

Cavern Quest is a B&W, mostly text based, adventure game where you explore a cave that is said to have been once owned by a wizard centuries ago but which has not been seen since.  Cavern Quest features and inventory system, randomly generated loot such as potions as well as equiment such as armors and weapons.  You can create character files and save your progress on each separate file.

Cavern Quest also features 8-bit sound effects such as background ambiance noises and even some text to speech sentences, such as the welcome intro.

This is the shareware version.  If anybody out there has the full version, please archive it here or email us.

Note: Requires Macintalk 1.0 installed in the System Folder.  I have set up a fully functional boot floppy disk image preloaded with Mac OS 6.0.8 and Macintalk, so the only thing you have to do is boot vMac with it and launch the game app.
