Evolving robots is basically an evolution simulator, and is populated by two types of species, carnivore and herbivore. I had plans to use a genetic algorithm to mutate behavior (which uses a telo-reactive language) but couldn't figure out how to make this work (though I may try when I get set up on OS X instead using fuzzy logic/neural network techniques). What seems to genrally happen is that the initial species are whittled down to a few with herbivores and some carnivores which then stabilise into a predator prey oscillation (use the graph window to follow this). You can tag two species and one individual, then keep that individual on screen (click on it with the animal icon button in the middle depressed.) The leftmost button follows the selected animal. The table lists the species with the highest populations, clicking on a row will bring up that species. Reproduction is asexual.
