What is The First "R"? The First "R" was a language arts program from Milliken, the same company behind Math Sequences. It was sold directly to schools, so it's harder to come by than some other games. As you answer questions correctly, short animations and stock music will play and your score will improve. According to an archived version of their website, the program was sold in standalone and networked versions. There were 26 total skills, divided up by grade level. There were 3 skills for Kindergarten, 9 for Grade 1, 9 for Grade 2, and 5 for Grade 3. These could be purchased individually, in smaller packages (K-1 or 2-3), or as a complete package. The 1998 Mac version came on CD-ROM; it's possible that earlier Mac versions came on floppy disks. Download The First "R" for Mac
