What is Rectangle?

This tiny and wonderful open source app gives pre macOS 15 window tiling capabilities! It works beautifully under macOS 14 Sonoma but also in previous macOS versions all the way back to OSX 10.15 (and even older Intel OSX releases if you use v0.73 or older)

One of the key features (and it's somewhat obscure until you read the documentation) is that you can enable left-click-drag scrolling on the right edge of any window, much like in other OS'es.  This is a very welcome hack that makes Windows users coming to macOS enjoy a smoother transition.  This very poor macOS design choice has been raised in forums over and over again for the past 15 years, but Apple does not care.  Thank god, Ryan Hanson did.

Here's how to enable it:

1) Launch Terminal and execute this command: defaults write com.knollsoft.Rectangle screenEdgeGapRight -int -3

2) Quit Rectangle, then re-launch it.

3) Maximize any window using Rectangle and it will close the stvpid gap Apple designed that prevents you from left-click scrolling on the right most pixel of a window :)
