MacASM was the first assembler for Mac. It only supports System 1 to 6 (not System 7 and up). Useful for making apps that will run on 1984 to 1986 Macintosh models. Starting from System 6 in the late 80's, THINK Pascal was a much better choice for programming on the Mac.
An integrated assembly language development system for the Macintosh. MacASM offers an integrated editor, macroassembler, and resource compiler. The flexible assembler assembles source code from memory or disk to memory or disk and offers full macro capability. Numerous directives, full expressions, and Macsbug debuggers simplify program development. Source files can be edited in MacWrite. MacASM is not copy-protected and can be used with multiple drives, including hard disks. It comes with six source code samples.
