Important information about the next revision of the Recovery CDs The Apple System Software Recovery and Apple Application System Software Recovery CDs contain a Mac OS 7.6.1 based System Folder, which will start up models ranging from the Macintosh IIci to the the 9600/300. It will not, however start up a Power Macintosh G3 or future models. The next revision of these CDs will use a Mac OS 8.0 based System Folder, which will support the newer models, but will not start up any 68020 or 68030 based computers. We suggest you save this edition of the Recovery CDs for use with older models.
Apple Software Recovery CD now a two volume set Due to space limitations, the Apple Software Recovery CD has been expanded into the Apple Application Software Recovery CD and the Apple System Software Recovery CD. Both CDs will startup most Macintosh computers and feature peripheral drivers, such as printer and scanner software. This CD contains all versions of Mac OS from System 6.0.5, cross-referenced by model. The Apple Application Software Recovery CD contains Apple productivity, server, and utility software, as well as all Newton software.
