BladeEnc is a rough port (it only has enough standard Mac OS UI to be usable) to the Macintosh. It is an MPEG-1 Audio Layer III (MP3) encoder that was discontinued in 2002. It was a solid encoder, though it lacked the ability to encode using VBR, like LAME.
