What is Radeon 7000 / 9250 Driver for MacOS 7.6 - 9.2.2?

Yes, there is a new fastest GPU for System 7!

Hacked ATI driver extensions that enable 2D and QuickDraw 3D acceleration for Radeon 9250 PCI cards under all system software versions. Based mostly on the January 2005 retail update, with certain older files and some binary modifications. Tested under MacOS 7.6.1, 8.1, 8.6, and 9.2.2. Should also work under System 7.5.5, but not tested there.

Also includes the most up-to-date Radeon 7000 drivers for MacOS 7.6, the original unmodified ATI and Apple software packages, and full directions to reproduce the necessary modifications.

Compatibility notes

There was no official Radeon 9250 Mac Edition PCI card. You must flash a PC card with modified Radeon 9200 Mac Edition firmware, as well as performing the "9250 Trick" of moving certain configuration resistors. It's fussy but the web can teach you what to do.
