Albert's House is a 1988 short black and white childrens game designed to teach children common house hold objects, phrases and acts as an introduction into the world of computers. The game features several modes to play. 'Explore the house' is the default, letting the player look around the house. 'Search the house' is similar to Explore but the player can now see information in separate windows about various items that they click on. 'Just Squeak' is for the player to find Albert in a hidden location in the house using a hot and cold meter system at the top of the screen. 'Save the Mouse' is the 'scenario' mode where the player has to help Albert escape from the cat. The game the ability of minor parental controls, allowing the game to be locked so that the child could only play the game and not tinker with anything else. System Requirements From Mac OS 5.0 up to Mac OS 9.2 Architecture: 68K Mac OS 5.x - Mac OS 9.2.2 Originally designed to work on System 5 through to System 6. Should work fine on authentic hardware running OS 9 or through the OS X Classic Environment. Runs imperfectly in Sheepshaver emulating OS 9 causing hangs on quit and no audible sound. Emulating this? It could probably run under: Mini vMac |
