What is Macromedia Action! SE?

Action! SE (Special Edition) is a utility that allow users to create interactive presentations and is similar to Microsoft's PowerPoint. I'm horrible at writing descriptions so heres something from the manual.

-----------------------------
You have something important to say. You want to explain an idea, sell a product, or persuade your listeners to a certain course of action. You've analyzed the facts and organized your ideas; you know the points you want to make. But how will you make your message memorable? How will you make sure it stands out above all the other information competing for your audience’s attention?

Whether you’re designing a live presentation or creating a self-running demo for a trade show, Macromedia® Action!™ can help. This powerful product from the industry leader for multimedia software lets you choose the media elements—sound, motion, text, graphics, and interactivity—that best communicate your message, and quickly combine them into a compelling multimedia presentation.

Architecture

Motorola 68K

System Requirements

From Mac OS 7.0 up to Mac OS 9.2

Compatibility notes

To run this application under Mac OS 8/9, set the preferred memory size to 4mb (4096 k) or higher (I've noticed that not all OSes have this option), or else the program will complain about not having enough memory to open/create a new document.

For running this in emulation via Basilisk II, you might need to set these specific emulation settings:

  • Allocated RAM: 64 MB
  • Model ID: Quadra 900
  • CPU Type: 68040
  • A Quadra ROM file

Emulating this? It could probably run under: Basilisk II
