What is dissBits?

Nearly everything about the Mac's graphics has impressed me. It's so fast… a little too fast I sometimes think. I mean, the Lisa goes to all that trouble to "ramp" the screen up and down, while the Mac just goes SPLAT! and there's a new image to assimilate. Film makers have long known how to introduce a new image without any visual violence.

With this problem in mind, I've been thinking about ways to put a new image on the Mac screen, but not in the blink of an eye.
