1D Poisson

(There's no video for 1D Poisson yet. Please contribute to MR and add a video now!)
What is 1D Poisson? 1D Poisson is a program which calculates the band diagram for semiconductor structures. In addition, it can find self-consistent solutions of both Poisson's and Schrodinger's equations. This program will be very useful to Engineers and Physicists who are designing semiconductor devices, particularly those who are designing nanostructures where the quantum mechanical nature of the electrons is important. The program is user friendly and makes calculating band diagrams easy! It doesn't have a full Mac interface including text editing and graphing (I wrote it while a grad student, so cut me some slack please :-) ). To Calculate band diagrams and plot them you will need two additional programs: a text editing program such as Edit II (shareware) to prepare the input files, and a graphing program such as Kaleidagraph, CricketGraph, or DeltaGraph to plot the results. More details of the program's operation are given in the users manual. The program is Freeware, so please copy and distribute it to those who might benefit from its use. I do request that you send me email if you use the program so that I can add you to my list of users.
Download 1D Poisson for Mac
Architecture: 68K + PPC (both versions are included) System 7 - Mac OS 9.2.2 At least 3.5MB of free RAM Note: Run "1D Poisson.univ" if your Mac does not have a coprocessor or FPU. Other apps such as "1D Poisson" requires a FPU (this runs in Basilisk II if the checkmark in GENERAL > "68881 or 68040 FPU emulation enabled" is checked)
