What is Connie & Bonnie's Birthday BlastOff?

Twins Connie and Bonnie are accidentally invited to a birthday party on Pluto, so they build a cardboard rocket ship and bring their pink poodle to travel through the Milky Way and learn some facts about space and the solar system along the way.

Active Stories: Connie & Bonnie's Birthday BlastOff is an edutainment game based on the book by Ray Nelson Jr. Gameplay consists of a digitized version of the book, complete with clickable details. The title aims to educate elementary school children about the solar system, the planets and space. To help review the concepts learned throughout the story, players are tasked to solve riddles. Players could also record their voice into the story as a form of personalization. In addition to the story, players can also take part in several activities that could be done on and off the computer to encourage further play and exploration, with several activities ranging from coloring pages to those that use real world objects. These activities could be accessed throughout the book or can be accessed in a separate mode. The game also includes full motion video sequences provided by NASA. The disc can also be used on CD players as an audiobook containing the story.
