What is Kid Keys 2.0?

   Keystone the Dragon is ready to welcome young children to a playful computer experience. Knowledge Adventure’s Kid Keys™ has been carefully designed to provide children ages 4–7 with a head start in computer literacy and keyboarding skills. Based on current research, Kid Keys™ involves children in keyboard orientation and reading readiness skills that are critical to their fluent use of the computer to express themselves in writing.

  Young children progress most easily from self-driven exploration to prompts, moving from prompts of single letters to letter combinations, illustrated words, and finally complete sentences.

  With Kid Keys™, children learn keyboarding skills and letter/word recognition in a multimedia-rich learning environment. Delightful graphics, music, sound effects, and spoken reinforcements motivate children to learn keyboard letter locations and effective strategies for accurately entering text. Each activity introduces and reinforces important skills and is based on research-based assumptions of how young children best learn keyboarding skills.
