Continuum

What is Continuum? Continuum is an addictive game (in my opinion). From an overhead, top-down view of your ship, you pilot through a maze, avoiding some walls, bouncing off others, dodging enemy defenses, shooting targets, and finding your way to the exit of each level. The physics of the game is great, meaning the drift of your ship, the conservation of momentum, angles of bounces off walls, and the acceleration and maneuvering of the ship are excellent for such a simple game. Some levels include “external forces” that resemble gravity or perhaps solar wind or magnets and the magnitude of those forces vary from level to level. On some levels, they are barely noticeable. On other levels, you struggle against them. There is no end to the game. I do not remember how many unique levels there are but, after completing the last one, the levels repeat at higher difficulty than the original version of the level. The game does include a custom builder which allows you to design your own levels. I did find one video on YouTube that covers the game's origin story and some glimpses into game play and the custom builder. Not sure if posting links to YouTube is allowed on here or not. If you search "Continuum Beerware" on YouTube, the video should be at the top of the search results. Download Continuum for Mac
