What is Hoyle Solitaire?

Hoyle Solitaire has 28 solitaire card games, including two original ones:

Aces Up, Baker's Dozen, Beleaguered Castle, Bowling, Bristol, Calculation, Canfield, Cribbage Square, Eagle Wing, Eight Off, Eliminator, Flower Garden, Fortress, Gaps, Golf, Klondike, La Belle Lucie, Nestor, Penguin, Poker Square, Pyramid, Scorpion, Shamrocks, Slide, Spiderette, Strategy, Triplets, and Yukon.

Each game is available in two levels of difficulty.

In Marathon and Descent, you expect the menu bar to be hidden: It adds to an immersive experience. But you certainly don’t need immersion to play solitaire. Plus, as the other programs prove, you don’t need a Quadra to play Solitaire. The interface is also clunky and nonintuitive (I couldn’t figure it out without reading the manual).
