What is iCooked (Overclock the iBook G3)?

This application is a GUI for the iCook kernel extension by Patrick Swieskowski (included in package).
 iCook is a small OS X kernel extension that allows simple overclocking of the IBM 750FX processor, found in some of the iBooks (600...900 MHz).

Features:

  • Shows current CPU clock speed in menu bar.
  • Keeps user-defined CPU clock speed after sleep.
  • Automatically loads iCook.kext at launch.
