What is Oregon Trail II: 25th Anniversary Limited Edition?

The Oregon Trail II is an enhanced remake of The Oregon Trail and the 25 Anniversary Limited Edition CD includes both the new and original versions for Macintosh, Windows, and MS-DOS, even if it is so low-key about it that the only mention of the bonus content in print is a brief "see the README file for historical versions" note hidden among the installation instructions on the inside of the front cover.

Oregon Trail II is tested working under MacOS 9.2.2 on a Power Mac G4 but the installer for the included copy of the original The Oregon Trail will report 0K required disk space and install nothing. It does, however, function under MacOS 7.5.3 in Basilisk II.
