What is U-Tile+?

“U-Tile+”, version 3.0.4, is a text-editor and list-editor with a wide variety of features, including user-configurable alphabet definition, thus controlling the definition of words and their sorting order ...

Here are some features of U-Tile+ 3.0.4:

  • No limit on the number of documents which may be simultaneously (except of course RAM limitations).
  • Text documents may be divided up into passages.
  • Displaying line numbers in text documents.
  • Verification of parentheses in text documents, including nesting of several different pairs such as (), [], {}, /, etc.
  • Implementation of list documents, used, for example, for word lists.
  • Creating a list of all words in a given text document.
  • Searching and replacing, in both text and list documents.
  • Various window stacking and tiling options.
  • The clipboard supports pictures as well as text, and may be printed.
  • Drag and Drop for text (requires System 7.5).
  • Implementation of several different alphabets, thus allowing one to configure the action of commands such as:
    • conversion to upper case,
    • conversion to lower case,
    • stripping diacritical marks,
    • searching, etc.
  • The ability for the user to create their own custom alphabet(s).
