What is Mac OS 9.2.2 for pre-G3 Power Macintoshes?

This Mac OS 9.2.2 System Folder is patched with Old World Support 1.0.1, allowing it to boot and run on pre-G3 Power Macs. 9.2.2 improves stability and improves Finder performance, leading to a "snappier" feeling system. It also enables compatibility with "Classic" and most "Carbon" software released after Mac OS 9.1.

Performance improvements are due to the OS 9 codebase being moved more fully to PPC, with much less 68K code than 9.1 in the Finder. Recommended 32MB minimum RAM. 48MB highly suggested.

Applications and Apple Extras are NOT included. This is a System Folder that can directly replace an 8.6, 9.0.4, or 9.1 System Folder

Not recommended for native G3/G4 Power Macs.
