EZ Bible is an easy yet powerful way to study the Bible and read through it in one year. The default text is the American Standard Version (ASV), and the King James Version (KJV) is available as a free addition below.
EZ Bible divides the Bible into 364 readings of roughly equal length. Where possible the passages are kept in full context for completeness. There are no limits on the number of readers you can set up (but we do ask that copies installed on different computers have separate registrations).
If you set up a default reader for a particular translation, then each time you open that Bible, the current passage for that reader will be displayed along with an indication of the day's passage number and when this reader started.
You can navigate forward and backward through the passages using the arrow buttons, or go straight to a particular scripture with the reference button.
If you want to study a particular topic, you can search the entire Bible for a word or phrase. The search results are loaded into a floating window from which you can select a verse to view.
From this list you can double-click on an entry (or hit the "Show" button) to see the context for that particular hit. The Search Results remain visible until you hit the "Close" button. Notice that you can choose to save the search results to a file, then reload them later to resume your study.
EZ Bible has configurable disk-based caching to speed up the display of each passage. This can be particularly useful if you are studying a topic and switch back and forth between different passages frequently (pages don't have to be loaded from the database). There is a menu option for building a complete cache in advance, and each translation has its own cache.
