What is Sapiens?

Sapiens is an old action/adventure game that illustrates the neanderthal life of a hunter (you, the player) that makes his way in Homo Sapiens times, many thousand years ago.  Sapiens has been released since 1989 on many platforms, including Thompson, Amstrad CPC, IBM PC's and Atari ST.  This is the Mac version, which has been released throughout the 90's and beginning of 2000's.  Sapiens features background music, sound effects, colorful semi-3D (layered scenery) gameplay scenes and action filled randomly generated scenarios, involving combat, trading, food and item collecting, etc...
Find the registration code in a text file in the downloads. The code works for both the Mac and PC versions, with any name.
The game is now free, and has more recent versions with a larger display window., and Castilian Spanish in addition to the French and English languages.
