What is NoBalloonMenu?

Soon after System 7 appeared I wrote NoBalloonMenu which is an extension to remove the Help menu from the menu bar. The intention was to make more space for items such as SuperClock which can be pushed  off the screen by long application menus.

The extension fulfilled an immediate need on small screens. While many people have used it with success, others have reported problems in recent times. Since the extension is fairly old now and other products have appeared which perform its function (and much more) I have refrained from updating it, and have referred people experiencing difficulties using NoBalloonMenu to these other products instead.  

However, because NoBalloonMenu continues to be used, I have now decided to release Version 1.0.1 which should be more robust. I have also included the source for those interested.
