What is Blake?

Blake is a replacement web browser for Cyberdog. Designed to leverage the feature set and performance of Internet Explorer and bring it to the Cyberdog environment, Blake offers these improvements over the standard Cyberdog web browser:

• Speed. Web pages come to life faster.
• Compatible. Supports more up-to-date standards. See specifics below.
• Progressive display of HTML pages, including progressively displaying GIFs and progressive JPEG images. With Blake, you can now start to read and use web sites before they have finished downloading.
• Native Java and plug-in support. Now there is no need for external software to support these other component software technologies inside web pages, making this a more compatible solution.
• Contextual menus. Now you can click and hold an item, and a menu with appropriate items will appear, letting you open a link (optionally in a new window), download an item, etc.
• Some style sheet support, compatible with Internet Explorer 3.0.
