What is X-Plane 7?

X-Plane 7 is the seventh installation in the X-Plane series of the flight simulator for fixed wing and rotor aircraft in civilian, military and space use, as well as a concept and prototyping tool. Focus of the X-Plane series is a realistic model of airflow, using engineering techniques similar to that used to design real aircraft. In addition to flying around in the provided aircraft & world, there is also tools to create custom aircraft and scenery. The focus for the seventh edition is a new engine model. As an extra treat, there is a Mars environment, with suitable glider-like aircraft.
