What is The Unmounter?

The Unmounter application automatically unmounts unused shared disks and allows the user to remount them easily. This saves network resources and speeds up the Finder.

The Unmounter is a great opportunity for network managers (like me!), because users often do not even know the global cost of mounted shared disks. It is specially useful in remote access and in dial on demand environments, where phone and ISDN lines stay open while AFP sessions are active.
