What is F/A-18 Hornet 2.0 (Strike! Missions)?

Hornet STRIKE! Missions 2.0 is a full 40 mission set for the Macintosh F/A-18 Hornet 2.0 or 2.0.1 flight simulator. The STRIKE! Missions include 28 new Kuwaiti theater missions, 6 new Arizona theater training missions and 6 new Hawaiian theater training missions. In addition, your allies are more aggressive and you will encounter new and more devious foes.

Regarding their "No Installation Necessary" instructions: here's what they tell you:

This release of Hornet STRIKE! Missions 2.0 includes the entire F/A-18 Hornet data file with the STRIKE! missions pre-installed. To fly the new missions just replace your existing “F/A-18 DATA 2.0” file with the STRIKE! version (which has the STRIKE! “Hornet” icon). The data file must be named “F/A-18 DATA 2.0” and be located in the same folder as the F/A-18 Hornet 2.0/2.0.1 application to be recognized by the flight simulator.

I recommend NOT "replacing" your existing DATA file with this new one, but instead place your existing file in a safe folder somewhere. THEN you can drop this new DATA file into your F/A-18 Folder. I don't believe that the new DATA file contains all the original missions, along with a bunch of additional new ones. Why don't I believe it? The original DATA file is 13.4 MB and the new, Strike! DATA file is 14.2 MB. For all these extra missions, one would expect a much larger file. Not only that, but I did a check of all the Missions from the original DATA file, and I could not locate any of these Missions in the new Strike! DATA file. So be safe rather than sorry and don't replace your DATA file. There's really no need to anyway.
