Cosmic Blobs 3D Graphics and Animation Software
Cosmic Blobs is the coolest and most powerful computer graphics and animation software for kids ever invented. With easy-to-use tools, and exciting modeling and animation features, Cosmic Blobs sparks the imagination and creative ideas in kids ages 7 to 14, and kids at heart. Cosmic Blobs works like modeling clay on the computer where basic shapes are squeezed, flattened, pinched and stretched into the wildest 3D shapes imaginable. A full paint shop with decals, textures and lots of colors can be used for endless decorating activities. Real computer animations like walking, running, slithering and galloping will bring a creation to life in your own 3D movie! From the craziest sculpture to a favorite character or vehicle, Cosmic Blobs is the fast and fun way to create computer art and animations like a pro.
Getting Started with Cosmic Blobs
To begin creating 3D graphics with Cosmic Blobs, simply click on a laboratory bottle from the file row at the bottom of the Modeling Zone. The bottles have all different types of shapes to start with including basic shapes such as cubes, spheres and cones; starter models that are early forms of dogs, airplanes, and characters; and completed models such as our turtle, dog and car.
When the Blob shows up on your screen you can start modeling by selecting any of the sculpting and shaping tools in the panels on the right and top of the Modeling Zone. The left panel is your viewing and help tools area. Use the to rotate or zoom in on your model, undo and redo any changes, and find help on any feature in Cosmic Blobs.
Switching between the three activity modes in Cosmic Blobs can be done by pressing the buttons on the lower left of the Cosmic Blobs screen. After creating a shape in the Modeling Zone, press the Decoration Mode button to decorate your Blob with all kinds of colors, decals and textures. When you have designed your Blob just the way you want it, press the Animation Mode button to bring your creation to life with the many 3D animation and movie making tools.

Installation Instructions
For Windows PC installation:
1. Insert the Cosmic Blobs CD into the CD-ROM drive. If Autorun is activated the installation program will automatically start. If not, double-click the "CosmicBlobs_Startup.exe" icon located in the main directory of the CD-ROM.
2. On the installation screen select "Install Cosmic Blobs" and follow the setup instructions. We recommend using the default settings for the installation directories.
3. After the installation is completed, double-click the "Cosmic Blobs" application icon that was placed on the desktop to start the program.
4. You will be asked to enter the registration key after starting Cosmic Blobs for the first time. Entering the registration key will unlock the trial version to the full version. The registration key is located on the back of this instruction manual.
5. Cosmic Blobs does not require the CD to be in the CD-ROM drive to run once the application has been installed.
For Macintosh installation:
1. Insert the Cosmic Blobs CD into the CD-ROM dive. In the Cosmic Blobs Finder window double-click on the "Cosmic Blobs.pkg" package.
2. On the installation screen select "Install Cosmic Blobs" and follow the setup instructions. We recommend using the default settings for the installation folder.
3. After the installation is completed, double-click the "Cosmic Blobs" application icon which by default is located in the Applications folder.
4. You will be asked to enter the registration key after starting Cosmic Blobs for the first time. Entering the registration key will unlock the trial version to the full version. The registration key is located on the back of this instruction manual.
