What is Onslaught?

Mac exclusive, turn based strategic warfare game with a tiny hint of Civilization vibes.  Each scenario takes place on a randomly generated island.  Could be played in single player mode against the AI or in two players mode by connecting two Macintoshes via AppleTalk/EtherTalk and turning on Program Linking. The second player didn't have to purchase the full game version to network play as the first player could freely distribute the demo installer that resides on the second floppy disk and it would allow the two players to connect together and play.
