What is Metrowerks CodeWarrior Pro 4 Update 4.1 for Mac C/C++?

Macintosh IDE, C/C++ compiler, PPC linker, and Find File updates extracted from the massive "Metrowerks Updates FTP Archive" found elsewhere on this site. There are other updates to the Java library, PowerPlant library, and so on that are not included here (but are in the FTP archive).

After installing CodeWarrior Pro 4:

1. Run IDE_3.3_Patch

2. Run PPC_Linker_2.2.2_Update

3. (optional) Replace the extracted Find File library entirely with the new one if this is a tool that you installed and use.

4. Run Mac_Compiler_MSL.

5. You will now need to rebuild the MSL libraries as described in the CW_Pro_4.1_Mac_Compiler_MSL/Library Build Instructions.txt. Although not documented, this step seems to require plenty of free system memory and PowerPC hardware for compiling the PPC libraries. If you only want this for 68K development, Basillisk II with 196MB allocated will complete steps 1, 2, and the 68K/CFM68K portions of step 3 in the Library Build Instructions.txt.
