What is Tesserae?

You are presented with a field of tiles, each of which bears a circle, square, cross, or some combination of these. The goal is to flip tiles over each other, subtracting symbols one or more at a time and hopefully working down to a single basic tile.

Works on a Mac Plus (although 256-color mode makes the tiles easier to distinguish). Was inducted into the MacWorld Game Hall of Fame as best "brain game" of the year.
