What is Kiddie Color Paint (KCP)?

Kiddie Color Paint (KCP) was what looks like a prototype for a drawing program made by a dad for their children.  Not sure this ever came out as a fully released product, tough.  This is not exactly the most stable drawing app but it's pretty good, given it's only version 0.2 and that it was out in 1989.  Also, it had 16 color capabilities when Kid Pix 1.0 (the de facto reference for kids drawing apps) released the same year did not.  Kid Pix only added color 2 years later, in 1991 with version 1.1.
