What is Doom II?

In this sequel to the original DOOM, the protagonist is the same hero (the last remaining space marine). After saving Mars from demonic threat, he returns to Earth, only to find out that the same threat has already invaded the planet, killing/possessing most of the inhabitants. his task is to bring down the force field around the last operational port to allow the remnants of mankind to escape into space.
