What is Celeste Classic?

Climb to the top of Mount Celeste as Madeline whose trials and obstacles throughout the game are metaphors for hardships in her life.

Celeste is one of the earliest and best known "cartridges" for the PICO-8 retromodern gaming format. It was developed and distributed freely at some homebrewlike demoscene gatherings for retro gaming back in 2016. Madeline can jump, dash (like a jetpack), and "wall jump" to climb upward.

This is v1.3.1 of a particular source "fork" named CCleste (as in "Classic Celeste"). To Quit out of the fullscreen mode, you'll need to press Cmd+Option+Escape. In windowed mode you can Quit by pressing the titlebar's Red Trafficlight gadget.
