Here's Fly Swatter 2.0 (version 1 never left my hard disk). Fly Swatter is a fairly primitive game that I originally wrote a few years ago. A couple of friends thought it might be worth releasing. So what the heck, I cleaned it up somewhat, and here it is. It is freeware. So try it out, and if you like it, keep it! If not, well... Fly Swatter should run on most any Macintosh, running System 6.04 or higher. I think.
Playing Fly Swatter is pretty simple. Select New Game from the File menu, and a fly appears on your screen. Your job is to use the mouse cursor to swat it. Just move the cursor over the fly and press the mouse button to swat the fly, and a new fly will appear. If you don't swat the fly after one second has passed, the fly leaves and another one appears. Your score is displayed in the lower-left hand corner of the window. If you hit the fly, you score a point; if the fly moves on before you swat it, you lose a point. I said it was simple, right?
You can use the menus to set the number of flies per game, how long they stay before they move on, and the scoring method. Although it's such a simple game, it is kind of fun to see just how fast you can keep up with the flies. My high score for a 1/2 second fly time is 17 out of 20 flies. Beat that! :-)
