What is Sid Meier's Pirates! ?

Sid Meier's Pirates! is a pirate life simulator.  You play as a Caribbean pirate trying to make a living by joining forces with whoever you want among multiple nations.  Pirates! is an open gameplay type of game where you are free to evolve the way you want by trading and deciding on your allies and ennemies.  This is the original B&W 1988 version.
