What is MaximuM?

Published once or twice a year in France, these discs aimed to serve up the best in Mac freeware and shareware "on a small silver platter." They switched to a "100% games" format starting with Volume 7, and "200% games" (that is, two discs) with Volume 12.

MaximuM also means the ability to retrieve a large number of interesting programs without having to bear the cost and slow speeds of connecting from your machine to dozens of remote sites. Go on, try to quickly download 600 megabytes...
