BugLink is a client/server bug tracking environment which allows software developers to track software defects. A single database, maintained by the BugLink Server, keeps track of all information regarding the bugs in your project. Team members running the BugLink Client can then access the server to get the latest changes to the BugLink database, add new bugs, or modify existing bugs.
BugLink Features:
- BugLink is a client/server solution that allows project managers, testers and programmers on the development team to access a common database...whether they are located across the room or around the world.
- BugLink uses the TCP/IP protocol, allowing for cross-platform access to the BugLink database. The BugLink environment will run on both Windows and Macintosh systems, facilitating cross-platform development.
- BugLink can be customized to meet the needs of a specific project. The BugLink database includes a default set of data fields that is suitable for most projects, but you can also modify the existing fields, or add entirely new fields, to suit the specific needs of your testing plan.
- BugLink is optimized for use across slow speed internet or dial-up connections. The BugLink Client uses local caching to minimize the volume of data that must be transferred between client and server, and can even operate off-line from the server.
- BugLink has a clean and intuitive user interface that helps streamline and standardize the testing process. The BugLink interface is easy to use for programmers and non-programmers alike.
- Includes BugLink Reporter, an e-mail tool you can freely redistribute to your customers and clients so they can quickly report problems directly to you.
