What is Basilisk II for Mac OS X (64-bit & Apple Silicon ARM)? Basilisk II is a 68040 (early 1990's Macintosh) emulator. It features sound, color graphics, networking, serial port emulation and much more. It runs all colored games and software from the 68K Macintosh era. Earlier BII releases under Windows supported standard 1.4MB floppy disk drive emulation and allowed to backup, restore and copy files naturally to Macintosh floppy disks (only the 1.4MB ones). From time to time, there might be a newer release available here: https://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7361 Official tutorial to set it up on your Apple device is here: https://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/basiliskii_osx_setup Those are the builds for modern Mac OS X (macOS) both for 64-bit OSX and Apple Silicon (M1) ARM based macOS.
