Cyberdog is an OpenDoc based Internet-Application including a browser and an e-mail component. The browser component was quickly outdated and as there weren't any updates, it became quite useless soon. However, some ideas of the software were really intuitive and were later used in other MacOS and even iOS applications (like the way communication is presented as some sort of a dialog).
The idea behind OpenDoc was that documents would offer "containers", which would include OpenDoc components - thus allowing the user to create his own custom "app" for any document (document centered architecture). Applications would be delivered as OpenDoc components. However, only a few showcases demonstrating OpenDoc were released before the development was stopped. Cyberdog might be the only productive OpenDoc tool ever.
