What is DigiPhone 1.0?

Welcome to DigiPhone for Mac, the Internet voice communication system which allows you tocall anywhere in the world and talk as long as you like for the cost of only a local phone call.

DigiPhone makes it possible for you to talk with other people over any TCP/IP networkconnection. Use DigiPhone with your LocalTalk or Ethernet network, or over the Internet.Although high speed connections provide better audio quality, DigiPhone is designed to workwell using 14.4k modems.

How does DigiPhone work? As you speak, DigiPhone compresses your voice and sends it acrossyour TCP/IP connection. When your compressed voice arrives at its destination, another copy of DigiPhone plays it back - just like a telephone. You can enjoy the benefits of verbal exchangewithout having to worry about the cost of making a long-distance telephone call.

With DigiPhone, you not only can communicate with other Mac users, but PC users as well! Use DigiPhone to talk to your friends down the hall, in the building next door or on the other side ofthe world! For homes, colleges, businesses and schools, DigiPhone makes the world a littlesmaller by making your access to it a little easier.
