What is Xfolders?

Xfolders brings a file manager in the style of Norton Commander to older Macs up to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Xfolders presents itself in a split view with two windows. The user navigates via the keyboard through the folder structure of the Mac system. For example, you copy the files and directories marked in one window to the location shown by the other window.

Using the context menu, Xfolders packs files, searches for data via Spotlight or displays information about files and folders. A simple image browser and an integrated terminal complete the software.

  • Xfolders 0.72 is compatible to Mac OS X 10.3 Panther
  • Versions 1.x are Universal Binary and has been made for 10.4 Tiger/10.5 Leopard.
