What is fMSX?

fMSX/MacOS is a MSX1/2/2+ emulator for Macintosh.

fMSX includes accurate hardware emulation, including support for Disk, Cassette, and ROM images. Full sound emulation, including SCC support, is included. Additional video modes can be added to this emulator via my Blitter Library plugin.

The original version of fMSX for Unix was developed by Marat Fayzullin. Source code for the Unix version is available at Marat's site. The source code for the Macintosh version is not available.

Compatibility notes

Version 2.5.1 requires CarbonLib 1.2 or later, or Mac OS X.
Starting with version 2.7.2, it requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
- Quartz Extreme compatible AGP graphics card recommended.
Starting with version 3.0.1, it requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
