What is MO5?

MO5/MacOS is a Thomson MO5 emulator for the Macintosh.

MO5/MacOS runs most Thomson MO5 software without problems, and with full sound. The emulator uses an AZERTY keyboard layout, just like the original machine. Light Pen emulation is also supported. Additional video modes can be added to this emulator via my Blitter Library plugin.

Marcel O Cinq, the emulator MO5/MacOS is based on, was initially developed for MS-DOS by Gilles Fetis.

  • Version 2.1.2 requires CarbonLib 1.2 or later, or Mac OS X.
  • Starting with version 2.3.1, it requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
    • Quartz Extreme compatible AGP graphics card recommended.
  • Starting with version 2.6, it requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
