What is The Legend of Kyrandia, Book One (CD version)?

Legend of Kyrandia is a colorful and fascinating point and click adventure game depicting a fantastic kingdom with an evil court jester named Malcolm.  Legend of Kyrandia had 2 sequels.  This first book is the best IMHO.

You're playing as Brandon, the prince of the kingdom of Kyrandia and your journey starts when the king and queen, your parents, are murdered by Malcolm, the evil court jester.  Your grandfather hides you in his home in the forest until, to top it off, Malcolm also turned your grandfather into stone and you're left alone.  Your quest is to stop Malcolm from destroying the whole kingdom.  On Brandon's journey, he will collect and use a lot of items and learn magical spells to help him fight against Malcolm.

Legend of Kyrandia is all about solving puzzles and exploring to find and use the objects found throughout the kingdom until you can finally put a stop to Malcolm's evil plans.  You can die a lot in this game so think about your moves and more importantly, save often :P
