What is Bomber?

Bomber is an exciting HyperCard-based game that makes excellent use of HyperCard's graphics and sound abilities. The sounds provide both background ambience and important information. The publisher sensibly includes a set of head-phones so that you can play without disturbing others. The action involves flying a B-17 bomber on raids over Europe during World War II. New pilots are given easy missions; veterans draw challenging long-range raids. Luck plays a part in the outcome, but skill usually prevails. The controls are easy to learn, although some of the cockpit controls are small and somewhat difficult to find when you're fighting off a determined attack — that only adds to the realism.
