What is PowerKey Rebound!? Rebound! constantly monitors your Mac ® system to make sure it is running normally. If the system crashes, Rebound! restarts it. If an application crashes, Rebound! can relaunch it or restart the entire system. It also works with many popular server applications to monitor for failures that may not cause actual crashes. Finally, Rebound! works with our new iLogTM software to keep a detailed log of crashes. Once you install Rebound!, you can sleep well, knowing your server will stay up and running! Packaged with and required a hardware key to "physically" manipulate the power switch in the event of non-system response (dead man's switch), but should work with software events. Architecture
Compatibility notes Rebound! works with any Power Macintosh ® desktop or server computer with an ADB port. It also works with later 68040 Macs that respond to the keyboard “command-control-power-on-key” restart command. The Rebound! hardware was designed to connect directly to your computer’s Apple Desktop Bus (“ADB”) port Basilisk II doe snot like it, probably due to pseudo-ADB incompatibility but vMac is fine.
